Scar Revision

What is Scar Revision?

No scar can be removed completely. However, you can often improve the appearance of a scar, by making it less obvious through the injection or application of certain medications or through a special surgical procedure known as scar revision.

Some Scar Types are listed below:
    • Keloid scars: This scar is similar too the Hypertrophic Scars, except it is firm and extends beyond the edges of the wound. The Keloid scar can sometimes itch and hurt.
    • Hypertrophic Scar: This scar is thick, red and occurs normally within the edges of the wound.
    • Contracture scars: This scar occurs in the larger areas where skin is lost.
    • Atrophic Scar: This type of scar is normally thin or flat.
