FACE LIFT RECOVERY INFORMATION
1. The morning after surgery, the dressing will be changed and a new one replacing it. You will go home with this dressing and will return the following day for a dressing removal. Once the dressing is off, you should keep antibiotic ointment on the stiches in front of your ear.
2. You will be given a one (1) week course of antibiotics.
3. DO NOT USE any pain relievers other than those prescribed by your surgeon.
4. The stiches in front of your ears will be removed about day 5. The rest of the stitches will be removed day 7.
5. When you are home, do nothing to exert yourself for a week and sleep on two (2) pillows.
6. You may GENTLY wash your hair and immediately dry 24 hours after the stitches in front of your ear have been removed. DO NOT wash your hair in the shower.
7. Vigorous physical activity (i.e. tennis, skiing and even golf) should not resume for at least one (1) month after surgery. |
